GENERAL' NEWS.

Kaigan÷Vega Raliway,

The proposal of constracting the Kalgan-Urge Railway has "again been'ïévited. It is estimated

that the line will cost $40,000,000. | The Government intende to com- plete the line in ten years, so that during the period of construction, only $4,000,000 needs be reised each year. Mongolia's co-operation will be invited in carrying out this project.

No Record.

His Excelletoy the High Com- missioner, says the Malay Mail. bas received information from the Army Connoil through the Right Hon. the Secretary of State for the Colonies to the effect that owing to the very rapid expansion of the Royal Flying Corps, and the unceasing genero- nity of toe varicus donors in pre- senting machines, the project of keeping records of the work of individual presentation machines bas reluctantly to be abandoned in the field owing to the large amcunt of work involved. It is, therefore, greatly regretted that

record particular

ofi the good work performed by any of the Malayan aeroplanescan now be given. It may be of interest to the donors of these machines to know that they have all taken their share with other machines in the general offeneive on the Western Front
