A Congo Expedition. New York, Dec. 16.-Plan were made public here tc-night for what experta representing, Shu Smithsonian Institution declare will be the most important ecientific expedition to the French Congo. Prof. R. L. Garner, of this city, and Mr. E. Archmeier, of Washington, who form the advance geard of the expedition, will sail from this city on the return voyage of the French line steamship Chicago; which arrived Jo-day. They will be followed. in March by. Mr. Alfred M. Colline, of Philadelphia, and Prof. Charles Wellington Furlong, of Boston. The expedition is to obtain scological collections.
