The late Mr. W. F. Brewer. §. We regret to record the death. of Mr. Walter Fred Brewer, non of the late Mr. W.W. Brewer and formerly of Messrs. Brewer & Co., Ld. The deceased joined the 102nd Comor Atlin Regiment (Canadian) in April of this year) and went to the Front in August, He was killed on Angut 31, whilst in the tesnohen for the second time. Mr. Brower was abɔut 30 years of age and was well known sa sportamis. He left Shangbai for Hongkong and subsequently went to Canada where he enlisted.

With regard to the Japanese Emperor's visit to the Grand Military Magnvres to be held in Fukuoka prefecture in November, it is stated that the following decision has been made. His Majesty will leave Tokyo on November 7 and, passing, the night at Nagoya, will arrive at Kobe on the afternoon of the following day. On strival at Kobe the Emperor will at once embark on the Haruna, which, escorted by the Kirishima and Hiyei, will leave for Sasebo arriving there on the morning of the 10th. The five daya ocmmencing on the 11th will be spent in the inspection of the main area and on the 16th the Emperor will leave Sasebo for Kobe' by the sea zonte as before."
