Japan's Lack of Steel.
All the shipbuilding yards of Japan now keenly feel the dearth of shipbuilding materials. Owing to the import of materials from England having been practically blocked by the European War, the home yards have had to depend for sook supplies upan either the Government Bleal Works, Edamitan, or the United States. Out of 3 000 tons of atoml required for two vessels, each of 7,600 tons.
