Eral Caspianв........... 40/6 Mesere. James F. Hutton and Co., Ltd., write on Aug. 12:- The cotton market at the moment seoms to be completely con trolled, as far as daily fluctua- tione in values are concerned, by the weather reports, sud with these varying the net result is very little change in prices. Trad. ing is on cautions lines, se it is quite certain that there will be no shortage of the raw material; the marketing of the new erop will take careful handling, and one can await events. For our own part we do not think there will be any great drop in prices other then what we have pre- viously indicated, but on the other hand, there are many who Co, expect considerably easier prices. A point not to be over looked is that all round the trade's capacity to produce has been con siderably curtailed, and the short- age of labour isone of the troubles in Lancashire, and one which will Cloth probably get greater. demand here continues on the same lines as for the past months, and is on en exceedingly poor scale. The leading markets are doing very little.
