ARMY TERMS EXPLAINED. Army corps is a complete army on a small scale in itself. The strength varies from 35,000 to 45,000 men. Division is a force of infantry. cavalry, and artillery, usually with a strength of from 15,000 to 20,000 men. Brigade ia a force of infantry or Cavalry. The infantry brigade is from 4,000 to 7,000 strong. The cavalry brigade ia from 1,000 to 2,000 strong. Regiment of infantry is from
2,000 to 4,000 strong. onvalry regiment is from 500 to 1,000 men strong. Squadron of cavalry is from 150
to 200 mon strong. Battery of artillery in the British and French armies has 6- guns and about 200 men. In the German Army consists of 4 gure and 150 men.
