ARMY TERMS EXPLAINED. Army corpa is a complete army on a small scale, in itself. The strength varies from 35,000 to 45,000 mon.
Division is a force of infantry, cavalry, and artillery, usually with a strength of from 15,000 to 20,000 mien. Brigade is a force of infantry or Cavalry. The infantry brigade in from 4,000 to 7,000 strong. The cavalry brigado is from 1,000 to 2,000 strong. Regiment of infantry is from A 2,000 to 4,000 "strong, Cavalry regiment is from 500 to 1,000 men strong. Squadron of cavalry is from 150
to 200 men strong. Battery of artillery in the Britisb and French armies has 6 guns and about 200 men. In the Gorman Army consists of 4) guns and 150 men. Ja the Russian Army it consists of 8 guns and 250 men.
