The Press Bureau announces that the Government, in view of the Germans removing from France to Belgium, as prisquere, all of military age, has decided that all enemy Reservists on board neutral shipe shall be made prisoners.

Ambassadors Said to Have Received Passports.

Nov. 1, 8.5 p.m.. Router's correspondent at Amsterdam states that the Allied Ambassadors at Constantinople have received their passports, and the British and Russian Ambassadors were leaving yesterday, while the French Ambassador leaves to-day.

Mahommedans in India Support Britaly.

Tsingtau's Plight.

Nov. 1, 12.25 p.m. Reuter's correspondent at Tokyo says it is officially announced that most of the German forts at Tsingtau are silent. Only two are replying persistently.

Allies Re-take Two Points.

It is reported that the Germans are withdrawing from Dixmude. The Russians have advanced many parts of East Prussia.

A commanique says that, between Arras and La Bassoo, all German attacks have been repulsed. The enemy's losses have been heavy, We have progressed in the Chalines (Chaulnes?) district beyond Lihon. We have occupied Quesnoy and also have progressed in the Aisne district on the heights on the right_bank below Soissons, but have retired towards Vailly. We have advanced in the region of Sousio. There has been heavy fighting in Argonne. We have gained furn ther ground in Woevre and the forest of Le Pratre.

The Emden.

Old British Cruiser” Sunk.

The British cruiser Hermes has been sunk by a German sub marine in the Straits of Dover. Nearly all the officers and crew have been saved. The ship is of small military significance.
