There is always a certain quantity now likely to increase-of wool not required in a hurry, and the slower, but cheaper transport by "wind jammer" saves several weeks of heavy warehouse charges. The Port Jackson is one of two large barques owned by an ocean. training-ship company.

They make voyages with cargo to Australia, via the Cape of Good Hope, and back via Cape Hora, taking with them a number of boye destined to become officers in the mercantile marine, to whom they give ses experience and a trip round the world. On the return voyage the training- ships bring home wool, wheat, or any other cargo that may be offering.
