About a dozen, vesels have been purchased by the Admiralty, and are attached to the torpedo schoolships Acmon, and Vernon, at Sheerness and Portsmouth respectively, and arrangements have been made with various owners where by a large number of beats would be loaded to the Admiralty in the event of war. In 1911 the Admiralty organised a"Trawler Section" of the Royal 28th Aug., 10 a.m. Naval Reserve, the numbers of 18th Sept.,
