At the Police Court yesterday. afternoon, before Mr Geoffrey Norman Orme, the hearing was continued, in which a Chinese was charged with being in unlaw- ful possession of banknote+ (Kwongtùng) to the volus $60,000, at Wing Sung Street.
Mr F. B L. Bowley, of Messrs Donny, and Howley, prosecuted for the police, and Mr. F. C. Jenkin, instructed by Mr Leo D'Almada o Castro, defonded.

The Japanese demands arising out of the murders at Nanking and the insults to Japanese eleowhore are being made to-day (Friday).
It is understood that satisfaction is required in the shape of an apology, an indemnity for the losees sustained to life and property, and the punishment of the responsible parties.
The Japanese are not content with the punishment of... the Nanking soldiers who committed the murders, but demand also the punishment of high officers,
If General Chang-boun's diemiseni is demanded, the Government position will be most perplexing, as it is understood that he has bon appointed Tutub in order to strengthen President Yuan's hands, although General. Chang hesitatee to take up office.
