The frat business before the meeting was a minute by the Pre- sident relative to vacation leave to Inspector Brown,

The President regretted that unfortunately such minute was now unnecessary. "I should like to take this opportunity of ex pressing my regret that the Board and public have lost so old and BO valued a servant as Inspector Brown."

Correspondence was before the Board relative to the oremating of dead bodies.

The President said this was a new question. A crematorium had been established near Mount Caroline Cemetery and he would suggest that before taking any further steps, they should obtain, "through Government, information as to the laws governing crema- tion in Japan-this Wis Japanese crematorium-and also as to the Inws governing crema- toria in England. Having the information, a set of draft byelaws might be submitted to the Board laler on. If a member desired any particular byelaw to be included in that draft, he would he would be glad to hear him.
