Profts from Co-Partnership.

Interesting evidence regarding the important part which can be played by co-partnership and profit sharing in improving the relations between employers and their workpeople, is given in a special report issued by the Board of Trade. The report shows that since 1829, when the first experiment in profit-sharing made by: iu England waS Lord Wellscourt on his form, there have beon in all 200 schemes. Of these 163 have been abandoned after carecro averaging about eight years each, while 133 are still in existence, of which 81 were started since 1900 and 62 since 1905. The number of workpeople who come under the schemos now in existence is 106,000, and the average addition to their wages received in the form of a bonus or shares in the ten years to the close of 1911

amounts to 5.5 per cent. They

now hold about £1,600,000 worth
