stallation of the system in com- mence next January or February. The German Telefunken, syalom is being adopted, through the of Messrs. B. Grimm and agency Co., who have been superintend Sailing Dateing the construction work, and two engineers will soon be sent out from home to take the work in hand. As regards the Bang- kok stations the Telefunken Com- pany guarantees a range of 1,000- : kms. by day and 2,500 kms, at night, but as a matter of fact the fact the actual capabilities of the stations will be much more than this, as it is the practice to keep well within the limits of power na regards guarantees. From the point of view of the utility of the aystem to Bangkok shipping, it has been suggested this would bo greatly incronsed by the es tablishment of a small station at Kohsichang, by which messages could be sent to Bankok, At present the Government does not see its way to establishing a third. station, but as only a small sta- tion would be necessary to get into communication with Singora from this place, it has been thought that the shipping firms undertake it themselves. It will naturally be a question of time when every vessel onming to Bangkok will have wireless in- stalled on board.
