St. Johns, Mar. 21. The Minis ter of Fiatuco prosented the Budget in the Nowfoundland House of Assembly to-day. In the course of his statement le showed that the foreign trade of the colony, tlie. revenue, and the surplus for the last fiscal year, onding in June, wero all the largest ever recorded. The pros perity of the Colony was un- examplod, all forms of industrial and commercial netivity being in "n"vigorons" condition. The only regrettable circunstanco was the comparative decline of British trade.

Flaglor, the Standard oil mil- lionaire, is so nearly blind, his friendson Wallstreet heard to-day, that he is unable to see his signa ture as he is writing it. He is 81. years old; and for several years his sight lins beon, failing, but that was attributed chiefly to his age.
