Imperial sanction has been received for n loan to be raised by the Shang. bil Tactal from the foreign banke for the pur posas of meeting the native orders of those banks (bat have already failed and of assisting olbar Chinese banks to tide over an abnormal period Yesterday, 17th oil, a meeting of the parties to this loan took placę but ad) sarved to Walt the strival of the Imparial Edict. The inter-relation of many of their banks too is so close, that it is almost impossible for one to be affected withaut dragging several others into its difficulties. Thus the failure of sae promienst Chinese found four banks in financial embarrassment, with the prospect of others being in the same pradicament.
