The scale we have evised, though no doubt open to and assured receiving criticism, is, we believe, absolutely air and moderate, and we propose to use it ntil we find a better. The prłąciple is per ectly simple. Tas problem is to ascertain the brobable yield of rubber within a given period, and the profit on such rubber at the prices which may be expected to prevail during that. period Guided by the scale, which we have. made up in a kind of ready reckoner form, we take out the result for odo acic, and multiply. by the number of acres of corresponding age pussessed by the company under examination.
