Splaadid wonther favoured be first gymkhoma of the season which was held at the face Course, Happy Valley, on Saturday. The attendance was above the average, the number of ladies being conspicuously large. The fields in all the flat races were laigs and the finishes clots, in particular that for the One and a Quarter Mile Race-the Just of the aftbmoon- when Mr. R. F. C. Master showed considerable skill in jockeyship by racing Fig Tree a winger after an exciting race. * Dead beat, Jubilee Rose assumed the lead on the fall of the flag followed by Bagih Dun, and Sidier Dhu. Passing the Football Stand Jubilee Rose increased his lead and retained it up to the Black Rock, Bagib Dua surrendered second place to Sidier Dhu and the rest in processional order raced down the bill into the village bend when Younger Brother tried, but unsuccess resisting the challenge, won easily by a length from Sidier Dhu. Recruit and Younger Brother finished level for third place.

There was a good start. Jock Scott went shead and was followed by Llama Chief and Glesler. The first two exchanged places in the first gallop past the spectator's stand with Jock Scott third, Fig Tree fourth and Barry last. At the Bowringion Gate the fenders raced in partnership while Jock Scott was steadily losing ground, falling away to about ten lengths behind when racing down the inclins to the village where Giesler assumed command from Llama Chief: The latter was hugging the rails, Master now called upon Fig Tree who was coming up in a spanking gallop.on the outside course, the leaders racing neck and neck. Fig Tree proyed himself the best of the three, winning from Giesler by a length, who was second by a seck from Liama Chief. Barry finished fourth, and Jock Scole last.
