Afterwards, they went to the Praya East Hotel and on leaving that place they met a coloured member of the Hongkong-Singapore Dattalion R. G. Dr. Shore, Flest-Surgeon attached to the Tamar, deposed to having made a post-mortem examination of the dead body of the deceased at the Victoria Mortuary on the 22nd Novem, bor last and found that death was due to drown lag. He found the body fying in five feet of water close to the preys Dear the new reclamation wall. The body was lying face downwards, the arms were crossed under the body and the legs were also crossed. By to-day's mall from Macao we have received confirmation of the report print. ed in inst can g's Telegraph of the shooting and killing of ons Ĉeiman sailor and the wounding of another at Macao on Monday last. Both were bluejackets belonging to the river queboat Taingt u. It appears that on Sunday evening, the 12th inst, the two sailors visited the drinking and billiard, saloon of one Antonio Gomer; in Rua do Auto Novo. The men had their drinks and paid for them, drawing out of their pockets purses containing a quantity of sovereigns. The gold pieces attracted the cupidity of certain individuals and, it is alleged, that robbery was the motive that led to the perpetration of the dastardly crime.

After leaving the saloon the sailors were making their way to the wharf in the juner barbour to get back to their ship.. Arriving at ons of the lanes, koown as Rua da Lorcha, Beat the Hongkong, Canton and Macao Steamboat Co.'s wharf, the sailors were held up and asked to “ stand and deliver." In the casting altercation which followed one of the Germans was fired at' in the hip while, the other was stabbed by the second of the two assailants.

They carry out their contract well, and Capt. Hayes never forgets that the passengers on board the Pembrokeshire are a composite body, made up of senkers after health, disciples of pleasure, and residents in the East, returning to their adopted homes. He takes them all under bis wing, and while every sport and recreation possible has been indulged in the mothers on bored have been able to join in because the children have been perfectly good tempered as they have been so well catered for. So with this comfortable, state of things I have been able to sit lazily on deck trying to put on to paper the butterflies of my thoughts,-Straits Fimes.
