THE ALLANA CASE,
OPENING BY MR. GOLDRING.
Before Mr. E. R. Hallif.x at the Magistracy this afternoon, the case was continued in which S. E. Allana, of '55, Hollywood. Road, is charged by S. A. Marican, of the Dinger Cycle Depo 33-35, Des Vœux Road Central, with the alleg. ed embezzlement on the 1st May last, when in the employ of complainant, of a gold watch and chain; a sum of $20 on the 15th of May and obtaining a ticket for Calcutta on the 25th August by means of false pretences.
Mr. P. W. Goldring (of Mesura, Goldring, Barlow' and Martell) prosecuted, and Mr., F. Paget Hett (of Messrs. Brutton and Hel appeared for the defendant.
