THE WEATHER.

The following report is from Mr. F. G. Figg, Director of the Hongkong Observatory :-- --

On the 2nd st 1205 p-The barometer has risen slightly in the Philippines, and fallen moderately to slightly over the Yangtze Valley.

Pressure is still relatively low over Annau and the N.W. part of the China Sea. It con- tinues in moderate excess of the normal over the Chiba coast, and in highest apparently over the Eatlern Sea. The Japanese returns are not yet in band.

Moderate E. winds may be expected in the Formosa Channel and along the northern shores of the China Seal
