A young Singaporoan, Mr. Chau Beng Chan was in the employ of the Oplùm Farmer and was statioped la a matshed at Taipo. In the latter part of November, 1907, during the pight time, the unfortunate man was attacked by a number of men'in bin shad, and he was most crually murdered. Over a year passed without the "mystery being solved... In reply to that letter the International Banking Corpora tion wrote informing plaintiff that without further particulars the draft could not be traced, and that payment could not be stopped without whom the draft waS advice from the person by bank paid the first of exchange to some person or persons known.
