"DR, SVBN HEDIN.

Simla, August 45",

The following Press Communique was issued -to-day!-From a later report received it appears that the letter received at Leb from Dr. Sven Hedin's head servant, Abdul Karim, is dated the Bih May? According to this letter Dr. Svan Hedia went to Khotan and Polu via Ling-thang after he left Gastok in November 1907. He then proceeded in a south-easterly direction to Ragha-ta-sang up the Brahmaputra, arriving there on the 25th April. His party then apparently. broke into two sections, and expect to rausite and then to proceed to Gartok or Chang-raby! (sic). The writer, who was with the section that separated from Dr. Sven

· Hedin, ends his tatter by saying: "We are all quite well and none has bad, any illness. We hope to see you at the end of September. Dr. Sven Hedin is very happy."-Bomboy G sæetts.
