FINK RECORD OF A LIBERAL MORNING PAPER,
The last number of the Tribune was publish ed yesterday,
The Tribune has for more than two years stood in the ranks of penny morning papers for sane and earnest Liberalism, and it passes away with the respect of friends and opponents alike. It has made a g-llant fight, it has held up a high ideal, and as a newspaper'it bas stood In the front rank. The news of its demise will be received with regret on every hand,
The Tribune (a säid with truth in anaounce ing the news) that not failed as a'newspaper. The progress the Tribe has made during the pass year-in circulation, in ad- vartisement reverse, and, us, judged by the many thousands of letters we have received and the kindly comments, of aur contem poraries, in public appreciation and esteem, makes a record of which my newspaper would be paud. It is a recoid which pro bably has rarely been equalled in the second your of any newspapes's existence.

The high pressure area remains over the Continent to the North of the Yangtze, but pressure is inclined to give way along the coast. Moderate monsoon may by expected in the Formosa Channel, and fresh strong monsoon over the Uhina Sea
