DEATH OF MR, WM, DANBY.

HONGKONG's LOSS.

It is with no Hitle regret that we hava to announce the death, which took place in the Government Civil Hospital at two o'clock this afternoon, of Mr. Wax. Danby, one of Hong- kong's leading architects, whose death was brought about as the result of an accident which he received on Monday evening.

It was while he was leaving the Hong- keng Club on his way home, thai' the un- fortunals accident happened. Mr. Danby, it would appear, while descending the granite stairway, slipped at the turning and in falling fractured his akull. He was later found lying in an unconscious condition at the bottom of the stairway. His injuries we temporarily attended to, after which he was despatched to hospital. He never regained consciousness and expired, as already stated, this afternoon.
