In addition to this be applied for permission to be naturalised an a Russian subject, and adopted the Christian faith (Greek Church), Krenuously endeavouring by all these means to court the favour of the Russiáni, After the restoration of peace, be continued to work for the Oriental Language School as be fore, and subsequentir became naturalised as a Russian, for which, is already stated, he had made application.
