A somewhat unusual accident occurred in Hongkong last night when a Chinese gentle man experimenting in chemicals received injuries which resulted in death.
Mr. Lan Han Chin, the principal of the South Chios Academy, which is established at 7, Ronhain Road, was making some experi- ments with some explosives in the laboratory of the school when the compound which he had inixed lügellier suddenly exploded.
Mr. Lan was severely burn about the face and body and two fingers from each hand were blown off. Information of the occurrence was telephoned to the police and Sergeant Gordon, of No. 7 Police Station, took the unfortunate man to the Guvemment Civil Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries late last night.
