The owners have repeatedly asked for its abolition, and the refund of the amounts already paid, but the Commissioner of Customs has, so far, taken o natice of their petition, and has 'eveu godo DO far as to stop their port-clearances until the fees are paid. It will be remembered that Mu Ying Kwai, late Viveray of Forchow, through his good

Two months ago he died, and lus funeral took place to-day, being a splendul spectacle, there being at least 3,000 people the procession.
