PROSPECTS FOR THE COMING SEASON,
An interesting communication appears in the Tijd on the prospects of the tea market in Shizuoka Prefecture, during the season just opened. These point out that during the war old and young alike worked hard, bearing in mind the hardships and difficulties the soldies experienced at the front. Now that will rest and the younger ones be sent to school all those men have returned, the old people or employed in household affairs. The only difference this year as regards labour will be the absence of the old and young people, and wages will probably not be in any way affected. HORRORS OF THE STRUGOLE.

of the village of Amity-ville could be seen. If
the aeronaut strove to reach it, the horrors of such a desperate struggle can only by Lussed. The distance is three miles-all shoals and he must have waded, floundered, and crawled often up to his breast in the. quagmire.

The fast drop in the small brandy dask had been swallowed. M. Nocquet's face was upturned, his hands crossed a front, the dying man having evidently resigned himself to his Jale.
Other stories suggest that he throw himself from an ocean grave. A will was found on the bady, made on the day of the ascension.
M. Nocquet won fame as the sculptor of the yawning woman, the talk of the Paris Salon four years ago. He shocked America by caricaturing in clay Mr. Roosevelt on vacation, representing the President dragging a grizly bear from the cave by his ear and holding a [sas cub in his triumphant hand,
