NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that removal work at the Cantoh: River Barriers will shortly commence, and that, with a view to avoid endangering the lives of those engaged on it, the following rules should be observed by passing vessels.

1. When a red and white fag [International H] is shown from a barrier, or from a boat in the neighbourhood of a barrier, it will indicate that the wash of a steamer is liable to endanger life and property,
