NORTH POINT.
The description and terms of the proposed lease of Crown land at North Point have now been published, and from them we gather that portions of foreshore and seabed, registered as Marine Lot No. 285, and comprising a total area of 201,132 square feet, are to be put up for sale The annual rent is $2,078, and the upset price $70,400, while one of the terms of the sale is to the effect that the purchaser shall expend upon the property a sum of not less than $30,000 in ratrable improvements, within 36 months of the date of salu.
AT SHAUKIWAN
Lots Mos. 491 and 402 at Shaukiwan, each comprising 3,750 square feet and subject to annual crown rents of $30, are to be put up to public auction with an upset price of $1,125. The purchaser of each it will be required to expend upon the land not less than $40on, on rateable improvements, within 24 months of the date of sale. Special condition are stipu lated regarding the non-payment of compensa tion in the event of any reclamation, and also regarding the payment of compensation by the purchaser in respect of the removal of existing slipways.
