SANITARY BOARD.
A meeting of the Sanitary Board was held this afternoon in the Board Room. Present:- The President (Hon. Dr. J. M. Atkinson, P.C.M.O.), Hon, W. Chatham, (D.P.W.), Mr. Ahmet Rumjabi, Mr. Lau Chu Pak, Mr. F. A. Hewett, Dr. Pearse, Acting M. C, H, Dr. Barnett, Assistant M. O! H., Capt. Lyons, Asst. Superintendent of the Police, Col. Webb Ilon. P. W. Brewin (Registrar General) and Mr. G.A. Woodcock, Secretary.
The minutes of the previous meetings were confirmed.
DOMESTIC SANITATION AGAIN An application was received by Mr. W. Danby on behalf of Mr. E. R. Belilios for pet- mission to erect an automatic flushing trough water closet for the exclusive use of his native servants, in his own empley, in connection -with large residential premises he is now erecting on Inland Lots NosTM 1381, 1982' and 1383. It was mentioned that the water for flushing purposes could be casily obtained from the waste water of the stream on the west side of the lots, in the same manner as the supply to the trough closets, permission for the erection, of which had lately been given to the Crown Lessee of Inland Lot No. 1633 on the cast side of the lots leased to Mr. Belilios, the proposed supply to his premises would therefore be from a similar stream as the one referred to,
Mr. Runjabin minuted that he thought that suspected cattle were isolated. The fact that this animal was found dead in the shed where 39 other animals, were kept shows there had not been any isolation.

The Cape Verde · Islands, Canaries and Madeira will be the successive stopping places, after which the course is laid for Gibraltar, going up the Mediterranean, Suer Canal, Red Sea and Indian Ocean to the final destination. There should be no ex- ceptional difficulty encountered in successfully. navigating the flotilla, and barring stress of we ther and accidents to machinery the voyaga- will be far more interesting and less trying to the crews than participating in maricauvies on coasts. The Bainbridge, Barry, Chauncey, Date and Decatur composing the fleet are identical in hulls and differ only slightlý, în machinery. They are of 535 tons full lead displacement, with 139 tons of coal on board, and are in the best condition for the long voyage, on which they will be convoyed by the cruiser Galltmere, and in command of Lieut, L. 1. Chandler.
STATEMENTS NOT ACCEPTED Mr. E. J. Grist appeared on behalf of l'oon Wo, who petitioned to be adjudicated bankrupt, His assets were about $600, including Saco cash, $200 stock-in-trade, and promissory notes, while the liabilities amounted to $3,811.
The Chief Justice-This is by the man him- self. Why has he not been examined?
. Mr. Grist-There has not been time. The object of bringing this on so quickly is that. the goods which are in possession of the bailiff may be sold as they only amount to about $ or $60, and the bailiff, remaining in possession, will run away with the costs.
