THE China Times says that the Tientsin Society of Commerce arranged a loan in order to issue 'cash' notes for the convenience of exchange. Several shops were selected and notes to the amount of 10,oo tiao issued. Within a few days, however, it was fourd that al the notes had been bought up and with drawn from circulation.
