apace. The Fair will contain some exhibits of an extraordinary nature, particulars of which are coming to hand.

One of the largest and most novel is a map of the United States, covering six acres, con- structed of growing crops on the slope of Tesson Hill.

This map is 400 ft. long from east to west and extends from warth to south 240 ft.

The several acres were fenced off early in April, and the entire tract was richly fertilised. The crops to be grown will be required to be planted at intervals up to a shout Lime before the eening of the Exposition.

A belt of blue grass lawn 20 ft. establishes

the boundary and coast lines of the map. The boundary lines between the States are marked by cinder paths three feet wide, and the States themselves are to be planted in growing crops of the principal agricultural products of the

State.

GREAT MUSICAL FESTIVAL. The musical festival, to be held from 17th to 20th June, promises to be a great occasion.

The Saengerfest will be held in the Palace of Liberal Arts, the building where over 50,000 people assembled last April to hear President

Roosevelt deliver the dedication address

The festival will open an 17th June with a local chorus of 4,000 mixed voices, eminent solo-is, and an orchestra of 200. The follow- ing day a conceit will be given by the national male chorus of $400 trained voices, and on the concluding day all the societies will participate in a" Volksfest" the Fair Grounds.

PHILADELFILIA'S EXHIBIT. Philadelphia merchants, manufacturers, and traders are preparing to make an extensive display of their progress, Philadelphians main- tain that the Quaker City is the industrial me tropolis of America, and one of the import,} ant manufacturing centres of the civilised world. It is proposed to show the improve ment in processes and machinery, the evolu tion of new undertakings, and the reatisation of higher ideals in the field of productive in. Justry.

Intimations,

WHOSE FAULT IS IT?

The world is full of disease and pain. Whose fault is it? Everybody's; therefore often the fault of the sufferers themselves. But the pressing question is,-what to do, how to relieve, how to cure. What would become of us if means were not found to destroy disease? Why,n, of the course, disease would destroy us and the world would be de- populated. Until we learn how to prevent disease, we must be thankful for the means of abating and curing it after it has seized on us, and stands, like a savage' with uplifted axe, ready to take our lives. Especially do we need some sore and speedy from of treatment for those complaints which are universal, which arise in every country and climate, and ravage poor humanity at all seasons of the year. We allude to such ailments as Nervous and General Debility, Hysteria, Scroful, Chronic Diarrhea, Asthman, Threat and Lung Complaints Blood Impurities, and the ills of
