They say that all the natives are heing ruchlessly robbed and savagely treated by the military: author ties and Siamese magistrates, who compel the peasants to supply the Simese troops with all the necessaries of life whether they can afford it or not.. They are stripped of all their belongings, their cattle, rice, merchandise, and all goods being torn from thein, and the inen compelled to en list into the bargain. Furthermore the wives ofte men who have been pressed to join the Siamese troops are forced in provide for the wants of the army and supply their husbands: with food and inoner!
