The Chinese ruiser Karch was destroyed by an explosion, which occurred to-day on the Yangtze River, The vessel sunk within half a minute of the explosion, and only two lives were saved, while 150 were lost.

INDO-CHINA QUARANTINE REGULATIONS.

communicating copy of telegram received by

Enquiries having been made, the Secretary

I am sure he will fulfil the duties of the position to our entire satisfaction.
