THE WEATHER IN FEBRUARY The Observatory observations for February show that the mean temperature for the month was 54.3, the maximum being 75.3 on the asth and the minimum 40.5° on the 4th; 200.5 hours of sunshine were recorded during the month, the sun being totally obscured on two days only, the 2nd and 3rd; the rainfall for the month amounted to oz, in the prevailing wind direction was E. by N.
'SLAVE DEALERS OF THE SOUDAN — Reconstruction in the Soudan bas at last reached such a degree of completeness that Govern- ment feels strong enough to deal a leat crushing blow at the slave-dealers.
