The Queen started from Buckingham Palace by the seamen from the Navy Her Majesty at 11 o'clock, the Royal procesalan being beared was greeted with amaltacus cheering. the eve of starting the Queen despatched, by pressing a button, a message throughout the Emplie. Replies were received from the Governors of 30 col nies and dependencies.
Her Majesty was dressed in black brocade. The Princess of Wales, attired in hellotrope, and Places Christian, dressed in white, were seated in the same carriage. The Queen appeared remarkably animated and happy and bore the exclement and fatigue well
The Cavalry occupied half an hour in passing a given point. It was the grandest milltary spectacle ever witnessed in London. The troops conslued chiefly of Horse Artillery, Cavalry, and Mounted Infantry, Sixteen canlages contained the Princesses and ladies in waiting. The seventeenth carriage was the Qaten's. The Prince of Wales (in the calform of a field-mar- bal), the Duke of Connaught and the Duke of Cambridge were on horseback accompanying Her Majesty. The colonial escort immediately preceded the Royal party, and the Indian escort, with Lord Welseley at the head, followed the Queen. Both the colonial and Indian escorts were wildly cheered. Then came a brilliant band of Englist and foreign princes, who were likewise laudly cheered..
The Queen bowed continually. The cheers were deafening, and there were spontaneous outbursts of the National Anthem and "Rufa Britanola" all along the route. At St. Paul's Churchyard the scene was an awe-insplaing one.
