BOMBAY PLADOK REPORT.
A relat from Bombay was tabled showing that from April 22nd to May țth there had been 383.cares if bohonic plague, and 311 deaths, the average mortality reaching 8a per cent.
PLAGUE AT AMOY.
A telegram was received from the British Consul at Amoy stating that the plague had made lis appearance there. Mr. Ede minuted the report saying that Macan should be "proclaimed and that x medical officer should be sent there to "ppert on the disease. The Medical Officer of Health attached a similar minute.
THI LAUNDRY QUESTION. When 18 laundry proprietors” applications for registration had been dealt with Capt. May sald he would live to have the ritention of the Governor drawn to the laund·les. To many cases when the water got scarce the supply came from what were simply mud boles. The washing arrangements for the colony generally were unsatisfactory, large numbers of aritcles being wathed in the "same water. He asked that the matter be brought before members at the next meeting

Scott, Secretary of State, the Controller of Cusnswing that he had assigned he pay in the
New York, May 10th. The Mallory ze steamer Leow, which left her pler on Saturday bound for Galveston, put back and anived in port yesterday, sixteen persons on board having perished. The dead were steerage |`pasiengers on the steamer, who succumbed in a terrible struggle during a fire which occurred off the Delaware Capes at an early bous yester- day morning.

IN RI E. E, SILVA. Ernesto E. Silva, a bankrupt, was examined to-day. When examined by Mr. Bruce Shep- herd, Official Receiver, bankrupt stated that he was clerk at the East Polat Sugar Refinery, and had received $150 per month *ince 1884.
He had no properly beyond carried amongst the cargo many bales of cation. his salary and he had a wife and g children. His is not certain how the fire originaled, but when it was discovered it burst forth with such for that it was possible to reach the steerage. When examined by Messrs. Robinson and Looker, who appested for sundry creditors, bankrupt said he had no receipts for interest pald, and that he required $too monthly to live upon. Dering the examination by Mt. Robleson, Hix Lordship took exception to the phrase that bankrupt was "robbing the Indian money leaders."
The examination was then declared closed.
