THE DISCO"ERY OF WINE.

Wine is repaled to have been discovered by Jemsheed, the founder of Persepolis, the famens capital of ancient Perela. He was a great lover of grapes, and, in order to have them all the year round, had large quantities packed away in enormous earthen jars. After standing for some time one of the fans was opened and the grapes were found in a state of fermentation.
