Mr. Humphreys have much pleasure in seconding the proposal that the repart and accounts be adopted and passed; and in doing so I wish, on behalf of the shareholders, to can gratulate the general managers and the members of the consulting committee on the exceedingly satisfactory report and statement of accounts which they have presented to us at this meeting. I am quite sure that the majority of the share holders scarcely expected In these times of keen competition, these times of necessarily lowering rates in order to maintain the bual zess of the Company-it was beyond our utmost expectations that such a satisfactory statement should have been put before us. only hope that our next report will be as good as this I have no reason to doubt it, for 1"am quite sure that the general managers, assisted by the consulting committee, will be competent to deal with any difficulties that may come in the way.

Mr. Francis said that as there had been no time for a translation, he would ask for an adjournment.
