THE SHARK MARKET.' Punjoms, as we Indicated some days ago would probably be the case, are on the "boom." There are buyers all round then the 11th, market to-day, but it is very difficult to fix arellable quotation. The exact strength of this reaction in favor of Punjams' is attributed to the following telegram. received from the manager at the mines:- "Gubau milling four ounces pariton. Present stock amounts to 250 ounces. Will ship." This is certainly very encouraging for those who through good and evil report have hold on to their Punjom scrip, and may mean far more than is Indicated by the bare telegram. At all events it appears certain that gold In payable quantities is to be found in some parts of the Company's concession; to what extent this may be relied on is at present a matter of uncertainty, and we must wait for further particulars. But to actually have 250 ounces of gold in stock is something tangible, and places, the Punjom Company in a more stable position than it has yet occupied.

In other stocks there is still nothing to report.
