Mr. Wodehouse held an inquiry this morning at the Magistracy, respecting the death of James Howrigan, a marine on board of H.M.S. Hospital on Friday afternoon, the 13th inst through a fall at the Seamen's Club at Wanchai on the night of the rath inst. From the evidence of Charles Bourne, the steward of
pelty the Club, and that of Henry Bird,
on duty there, it appeared that efficer the deceased and another marine, both of whom were under the influence of liquor at the time, had a sort of dance together near the bar of the Club on Thursday night, during which they embraced each other, when suddenly they both appeared to slip, and decensed, fell beneath his "partner" striking his head.

The evidence given by Surgeon Dawson, of the Naval Hospital, showed that when the deceased was admitted to the Hospital he was in a state of coma, from which he never recovered. There being no suspicious circum- stances attending the case, his Worship recorded a finding of "Accidental death." :
