Commercial.
THIS DAY.
Noon. There has been very little inclination for share business displayed this morning, and we question if much will be done before the beginning of a new year. Banks are scarcely so firm as they were when ive, last wrote, a few shares being on offer at 167 per cent. premium for cash, without attracting buyers. We have heard an inquiry after Yangtsze Insurance scrip at 855, an advance of 5 on former quotation. Nothing has been done either
in Docks or Steamboats, but Hotels are wanted at 120. Business for the end of
the month has been put through in China Sugars at 190 per share, and there are still sollers on similar terms, Luzons are somewhat weaker, with sellers at 114 for December 31st.
