Commercial.
THIS DAY, FOUR P.M.
There is very little doing on the Stock Exchange at present, at least so far as the transfer of shares is concerned. A few transactions of minor importance have conte under our observation, but they scarcely merit special notice. Banks are very quiet at 122 per cent, premium, holders being unable to find customers at that rate. No further movement has been made in Docks, the stock being decidedly out of favor at 51 per cent, premium. Sales of Hongkong Pires have been reported at 935 per share, and a few more small lots could probably be placed at the same figure. At three per cent, premium. the scrip of the Indo-China Steam Navigation Company hasbeen negoliated to some con- siderable extent, and there are still buyers at that rate. Steamboats continue in de- mand at 28 per share premium, holders, however, declining to sell unless at an in- creased figure. The other quotations in annexed list sprak for themselves.
