The first half of the programme for the Eighth Extra Race Meeting commences tomorrow afternoon and will be continued next Thursday, October 10. Eight events are down for decision on the opening day and the chief attraction from the viewpoint of pun- ters will be the Daily Double which has already, been enriched by the pool of over $6,000 carried over from the previous meeting as a result of Strathbannock's spectacular win.
