Second Contribution Of £100,000 Approved
The immediate gift of £100,000 to the Imperial Govern- ment for war purposes was unanimously approved by the Legislative Council yesterday. This represents the second' con- tribution from the Colony since the outbreak of war.
His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government, Mr. N. L. Smith, C.MG., presided at the meeting yesterday. In moving that the contribution be approved, the Financial Secre tary, the Hon. Mr. B. R. Butters said:
