Sound Financial
Position
A sound financial position was reported at the seventh annual meeting of the 'Kow- loon Tong Garden City Asso- clation held at the Club pre="" mises yesterday evening and presided over by Mr. Wong Chak-nam.
The Chairman, in his review of the past year, said that 61 mem- bers were admitted against six resignations and 23 were struck off the register.
He also revealed that the sug- gestion to augment the main building with two wings. If funds could be raised, had to be de- ferred for future consideration owing to the prevailing unfa- vourable conditions.
The Report and Statement of Accounts as presented at the meeting was adopted and carried unanimously. Messrs. Percy
Smith, Seth and Fleming were re- elected audilors on the proposal of Mr. H. F. Un seconded by Mr. H. Gittins.

baving arrived, from New York and Porta of call, Consigness of Cargo are hereby notified that their Goods aro being landed and placed at their risk' into the Hong Kong and Kowloon Whart and Godown Company's godowns at Kowloon, where delivery may obtained as soon as the Goods are landoi. Options! Cargo will not be anded bere, unless Notice has been given 48 hours prior to vessel's arrival, but carried on from port to port to the final port of call to which the option extends.
No Claims will be admitted after the Goods have left the Godowns, sud all Goods remaining undelivered after the 1st April, 1940, will be subject to Rest,
All broken, chafed, and damaged Goods are to be left in the Godowns, where they will be examined on 30th March, 1940, at 10 am by our Surveyor Messra. Goddard & Douglas. To comply with the feceral Bonded Warehouse Regulations,consigades minat have a Revenue Officer in attendance when damaged dutiable goods are examined.
All claims must reach ti before the 1st May, 1940, or they will not be recognized.
