The market was quiet;
COTTON: Prices steadied up on encouraging trade reports and on some foreign buying of distant positions. Offerings of spot cot- ton are limited as the growers are persistently holding their post- tions for higher prices.
RUBBER: The effect expected of the favourable business out- look and a better October consumption figure was about off-set by reports of increased shipment offers on a quiet market.
WHEAT: The easiness of foreign markets was ignored here. There was some hedge-buying against sales to the Government. Unfavourable crop news is unchanged,
HIDES: The market was quiet, and is easily to be influenced by any new incentive. Liquidation has apparently run its course.
