COTTON: Near positions were firm in the early session under the influence of the strength of spots but there was a fair amount of hedging and profit-taking on the uncertainty regarding the neu- trality revision. A good trade demand was in evidence, There, is general expectation that Government Loan will shortly be put into effect, and selling by growers is likely to dry up rather rapidly as cotton moves into the loan
RUBBER: The spürt in automobile output is further assuring an upward trend in domestic consumption. The trade is readily ab- sorbing dealers' offering and profit-taking.
